In 1997, Mr. Swayze concurrently held the position of Senior Vice-President, Business Development of GE Employers Reassurance Canada (GE ERC) and in 2000 he was appointed Vice-President, Sales & Marketing, North America for the United States parent company of GE ERC. G. Scott Paterson, Chairman and DirectorG. Scott Paterson is vice chairman of NeuLion/JumpTV Inc. (TSX :JTV), a leading broadcaster of sports and ethnic television over the Internet. JumpTV has over 200 sports content partners including the NHL and the NFL as well as over 200 international television channel partners from over 40 countries. JumpTV streams over 17,000 live sports events per year and has subscribers in over 80 countries. Mr. Paterson is chairman of the board of Automated Benefits Corp. Mr. Paterson is also currently a director of Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. (NYSE:LGF) and chairman of the company's Audit Committee. Mr. Paterson spent 16 years in the investment industry last serving as chairman and chief executive officer of Yorkton Securities. From April 1995 to December 2001, under Mr. Paterson’s leadership, Yorkton raised over $13 billion as lead and/or co-managing underwriter for Canadian technology, biotechnology and film and entertainment companies and led the company to become Canada’s premier technology investment bank. Mr. Paterson has served the Canadian securities industry in multiple capacities including as chairman of the board of directors of the Canadian Venture Exchange and vice chairman of the Toronto Stock Exchange. Mr. Paterson served as a governor of the Investment Dealers Association of Canada and a member of the board of directors of each of the Canadian Investor Protection Fund, Canadian Securities Institute and the Canadian Securities Advisory Council. Robert W. Tretiak, DirectorMr. Tretiak is an independent businessman and current General Manager, Energy for NGRAIN Corporation. Previously, Mr. Tretiak was Chairman of 5 by 5 Software Ventures (BRIDGEWERX) which provides web-based services to its customers (September 2003 - September 2006). Prior to that, Mr. Tretiak was CEO and President of Applied Terravision Systems Inc., a TSX Venture listed company. (October 1986 – March 2002). Alan Ryder, DirectorMr. Ryder is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Aurigen Capital Limited, a Bermuda based insurance holding company and its Canadian operating subsidiary, Aurigen Reinsurance Company. He serves as a director of both companies. Before raising excess of $500 million of committed capital to found Aurigen, Mr. Ryder served as the President of Employers Reassurance Canada Management Services, Inc. where he directed the development of the Canadian branch of Employers Reassurance Corporation, a General Electric Company subsidiary. R. Larry Binnion, DirectorMr. Larry Binnion is chairman and director of Versa Systems Inc., a computer software company focused on the e-government market. Mr. Binnion raised the funding to acquire Versa and led the management buy-out of the company from KPMG LLP. During his 25 year career as a partner with KPMG, Mr. Binnion undertook a wide variety of senior assignments managing large computer projects and information systems organizations including roles as a vice president information technology for a large multi-national insurance and health benefits provider and managing partner of a computer outsourcing company with experience in government, financial services, health care, distribution, construction, hospitality, and services organizations. Mr. Binnion is a chartered accountant and has completed the University of Western Ontario’s management training course. Robert Landry, DirectorMr. Robert Landry is the former president and CEO of the Canadian branch of Zurich Insurance Company, a leading worldwide financial institution with Canadian revenues in excess of one billion dollars, retiring at the end of 2007. During his tenure as CEO, revenues doubled and the company was returned to solid profitability; he currently serves as chair of the Zurich Advisory Board. Mr. Landry was a director of the Insurance Institute of Canada (IIC) from 2006 to 2008 and acted as its chair in 2007; IIC is the professional education arm of the general insurance industry in Canada representing over 35,000 members. Mr. Landry also served as a cabinet member of the United Way of Greater Toronto in 2005 and 2006 and is currently co-chairing an all property and casualty insurance industry fundraiser in concert with the Canadian Cancer Society's Relay for Life. He holds the Fellow, Chartered Insurance Professional diploma from the Insurance Institute of Canada and in early 2009 received his ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors. Timothy Stanley, DirectorMr. Timothy Stanley is president and founder of Broadstreet Data Solutions Inc., a Toronto- based IT consulting firm that specializes in complex data integration and business intelligence system; he is also the founder and CEO of Saas Street, a consulting company that provides Netsuite and cloud integration services. Prior to founding these firms, Mr. Stanley co-founded Vanity Software, which he sold to Proformix Systems, and subsequently held leadership roles at Informatica Canada, Brio Technology and Absolute Software. Mr. Stanley holds an MBA from the Ivey School of Business from the University of Western Ontario. |
